I have been reflecting on the wonderful blessings that are part of this great season.
I would like to share some of my thoughts of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I would also like to share some of my favorite resources. These are all things that have helped me to learn and love my Redeemer more. I would invite each of you to share some of your thoughts and resources in turn. We truly have so much to be grateful for.
Perhaps you have seen this video already. Or maybe you've seen people posting things on platforms like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram with #BecauseofHim--- But have you taken a moment to think of all of the wonderful things that you have because of Him? If not, I would challenge you to do so. He has truly given us everything.
As I ponder the blessings that came from Heavenly hands, the following things come to mind:
Because of Him I know that I can be with my wonderful family forever.
Because of Him I can love more deeply. Because of Him I can be more understanding.
Because of Him there are no endings. Death is not the end.
Because of Him I am always change. Because of Him there is hope, there is peace, there is joy.
Because of Him I am always change. Because of Him there is hope, there is peace, there is joy.
Because of Him I feel love. I feel love of the deepest, truest kind.
Because of Him, I am lifted from the despair and doubt.
Because of Him my life has changed.
Because of Him I live.
Below are some of my favorite videos about Christ:
The following talks have been especially meaningful for me:
The Purifying Power of Gethsemane, Elder Bruce R. McConkie
"I shall not know any better then than I know now that he is God's Almighty Son, that he is our Savior and Redeemer, and that Salvation comes in and through his atoning blood and in no other way."
None Were with Him, Elder Jeffrey R. Holland
"Brothers and Sisters, one of the great consolations of this Easter season is that because Jesus walked such a long, lonely path utterly alone, we do not have to do so....Trumpeted from the summit of Calvary is the truth that we will never be left alone nor unaided, even if sometimes we may feel we are. Truly the Redeemer of us all said: "I will not leave you comfortless: [My Father and I] will come to you [and abide with you]."
The Atonement and the Value of One Soul, Elder M. Russell Ballard
"Brother and Sisters, I believe that if we could truly understand the Atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ, we would realize how precious is one son or daughter of God."
Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the World. He has paid the price for our pains, weakness and sorrow. I know that He lives and loves us. I have felt His love and merciful gift of healing in my own life. He has said that He will not leave us comfortless, and I know that to be true. He waits for us to reach out to Him; He stands at the door and knocks. I testify of the reality of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and of our Father in Heaven. I add my testimony to that of Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf, who stated that "regardless of our current state, there is hope for us. No matter our distress, no matter our sorrow, no matter our mistakes, our infinitely compassionate Heavenly Father desires that we draw near to Him so that He can draw near to us."
