The One with the Guilty Pleasure

I have something to confess.

Sometimes I get these ideas in my head and I just can't shake them.
I try to push them aside, but sometimes I can't. I just can't.

Like today, I was going about my business and preparing to tackle my daily tasks.... when this thought entered my mind.
"What do we want? To organize! When do we want it? NOW!"
Oh dear. Not this. Not now.
I tried to talk myself through this....
'You can't do this. You just need to say no. You've got so much to live for.'
But as they say, the proximity is the greatest pull. I thought about running far, far away... but I needed to work at my desk, which is also in my room. So there I sat, the large black dresser screaming to me from across the room.
I reasoned, 'Well.... maybe a little won't hurt. Besides, no one will ever know.'
Well... One thing led to another. Before I knew it I'd cleaned and organized my entire dresser. I'm so ashamed. It may not be healthy to derive such delight out of organizing.
*Sigh*..... I think I need help.

I also had a similar episode on Saturday night.
After spending the day with some of my best pals, I got back into town at about 10:30 or 11 pm.
I told myself that I would sweep the floor. I would just sweep the floor.
But... I didn't just sweep the floor.

I couldn't stop.

I swept the floor, mopped, cleaned the dishes, scrubbed every nook and cranny of the bathroom, washed mirrors, dusted the apartment, and at about 2 am I found myself starting a new project: Cleaning the bath tub/shower. Seriously, I am a monster.

My name is Angie and I have a problem. My guilty pleasure is cleaning. Also, I am a little bit crazy.
Definitely a problem.




Oh my word. I just had a thought. I'm Monica Gellar. (Oh please don't let me be Monica. Please, oh please.)

Does anyone else have a guilty please out there that they wouldn't mind sharing? I would appreciate the emotional support.
