So... it's midnight. And I just made a smoothie. That's right. I made a smoothie.
It's never too late for a smoothie.
Normally I would be in bed by now, but I have a little extra studying to take care. (Talk about a par-tay!)
I was sitting here pondering and I realized that I should be doing homework at this hour every night! My brain, it just flows. I get the best (that's relative) ideas!
I was just sitting here thinking about stats (well, kind of). And then I was thinking about my smoothie... and then I was thinking about drinking smoothies around the world. And then I was thinking about mountains. And then I was thinking about running in the mountains. And camping. And Chacos. And stamps in my passport. (The stats quiz that I have in seven hours is going to go really well, I can tell.)
There's a word for what I feel, people. It's called "wanderlust".
I first heard of this phenomenon through Pinterest, a girl's ultimate guide to life, love and happiness. I then began to wonder, is wanderlust something that you catch, like a cold? Does that mean that it will go away? Or once it hits you are you affected for life? (Deep, I know.)
In order to get a better idea of what exactly we're dealing with, I referred to Urban Dictionary. Not only did I learn that the Convergys in Cedar City is hiring (it was seriously posted like three times on page), but I also learned that wanderlust can be described in the following terms:
1. A very strong or irrestistable impulse to travel.
2. The irresistible and overwhelming feeling to join nature, fresh air and high mountains by hiking or climbing.
Doesn't that sound groovy? (I really like that one that talks about joining nature. Ooh, yeah.)
Now, the real question: Have you, too, caught this bug? And, if so, where we headed, man?
Since I'll soon be graduating, I have the urge to sell all of my possessions and travel. And... I'm totally serious. That's normal.... right?
I totally understand what you feel. I have had wanderlust for most of my life. AKA the travel bug, AKA Gypsy soul
ReplyDeleteSo... when do we leave? ;) PS Hope your Stats test went well!
Dude.
ReplyDeleteYes.
Also I say it's normal.
That's what I did.
Well...
At least I gave my possessions to DI.
That counts, right?
Also how was your test? :)
Also I will totally travel with you and Tari.
I want to list and wander with you. (That was less weird in my head but it's staying anyway.) The Alps are at the top of my list.
