One Day Closer

Wednesday, 4 December 2013

Welcome back to the Christmas Countdown!
22 days....

And today is your lucky day!
I am including not one- but TWO pictures!
(But don't worry-- I put my picture in both. I know you were worried. Fear not.)

Just giving you a little more jolly and jingle.
You're welcome.

{Shout out to Holli for suggesting today's feature film. Let me know if there's one you'd like to see used.}

1. A family portrait

2. Just helping decorate

I kill myself.
(I know... I'm probably the only one laughing. But I'm laughing pretty hard, so it's okay. It all evens out in the end.)

How did you celebrate the third of December?
I had quite the celebration.

-Jamba Juice (the food establishment I would marry) for breakfast, thanks to a gift card from my mama.
-I made a to-do list AND got things crossed off!
-Came closer to the end of the semester by working on homework and group projects.
-It snowed (at last).
-Dinner with my fabulous roommate, Emily.
-AND...... I purchased a Fitbit Flex.

BEHOLD---->

This is what it looks like on a wrist.
This isn't my wrist. I am not a man. Nor am I a wrist model.
I just wanted you to see this beauty in action.
(And also give the wrist model his time to shine. I wanted to be a shoe model when I was young, so I can imagine what he is experiencing, emotionally.)

This is the Fitbit Flex not on a wrist.
This is what it would look like when laying on a dresser or counter top... which will never happen because it will never leave me wrist. Ever.

And, finally, this is what it looks like in the box.
I haven't taken mine out of the box yet, because I think it looks nice.
So professional. And nice. And new. And such.

But enough of the photos, let's get down to business (to defeat the Huns.... Anyone? Eh?)
I have a secret quest.
(Maybe secret isn't the right word...)
I have been trying to decided what my big goal will be for my 27th year.
27 goal- It's a thing.
Anyway....
I want to run a marathon. Run a marathon in my 27th year.
And also be more healthy.
So... I am hoping that this will be a handy (or wristy, I should say) helper.
But, if nothing else, it sure is pretty.
I'll be sure to follow up and let you all know how it goes.

Alright. That's it. Back to the grind of Dead Week.
Anyone else excited for the end of the semester?

In closing...

A brief view of what commercials looked like for my very first Christmas.
Does anyone else really want a Pound Puppy?
It's the perfect solution to my puppy blues! At last!

  1. It took me a minute to find you in the second picture, but when I did I sure laughed! Also, that pound puppy commercial is my favorite. It has inspired me to go find my little puppy (not a pound puppy, per se, but one my momma made) that I hope is somewhere in my parent's basement.

  2. The Family Portrait picture is brilliant! It made me happy. And the second one was pretty tricky. Thanks for the shout out! Good luck preparing for a marathon. That is an amazing goal!

  3. So many comments ran through my head as I read your post. Not only that, but some of your possible responses even ran through my head as well. Wow. I don't think I should have admitted that.

    1. OH MY STARS! YOU'RE PAPA ELF! Genius, my friend. Genius.
    2. You will not regret going with fitbit, man. I'm a fan. :)
    3. Those commercials? Hysterical. Also that first one? Maybe that's why I hate cats so much. Also Santa's hand looked slightly maniacal while he petted the cat. That's all.

End wrap-up statement: thank you for this wondrous post, man. It was marvelous.
